FishEConnect – A Sneak Peek

Introduction

FishBooks Pro is proud to announce the first look at a new product for Fishbowl Inventory. Today we are providing a sneak peek at FishEConnect, what it is, how you can use it, and when it will be available.

FishEConnect is a PHP library for Fishbowl Inventory. Consider this as a bridge between your Fishbowl Inventory solution and your web applications. It provides a simple and easy to program interface between Fishbowl SDK and PHP. We wanted to improve access to the Fishbowl SDK as we felt it was the best way to add value to Fishbowl Inventory, and leverage the data stored within Fishbowl. As a bridge it can be implemented in Shopping Carts, Internal Interfaces, and Mobile Solutions.

What Is It

FishEConnect is a PHP library for Fishbowl Inventory. It is a collection of code that handles communication to Fishbowl. We handle connection setup, communication structure, error handling, and most importantly documentation.

Why Does It Matter

We believe that Fishbowl Inventory provides a lot of value to the SMB market. We wanted to improve access to Fishbowl in terms of getting data in, and getting data out. We felt that improving access to the SDK was a key area for improvement. We are taking the responsibility of documenting changes between Fishbowl releases, SDK support, and maintaining the product with customer requests.
